Southwest Oregon is known for it's mild climate and 4 distinctive seasons. With warm summers and mild climate it is an excellent place to garden. The Rogue Valley is still known as "pear country," and you can see trees from the old orchards around town. The climate is also conducive to growing grapes, and there are several local award winning wineries & vineyards.

Southeast Oregon ranges from High deserts such as Klamath Falls & Lakeview to low, wide open valleys. Summers in Klamath County & Lake County are usually warm and dry with cool nights. Summer temperatures  can get very hot. Fall provides the area with Indian Summers of crisp days with cold nights and mornings. Winter weather brings snow for a vast array of winter sports. Springs are mild with warm days. There are approximately  265 days of sun and a growing season averaging 100 days a year.

The Oregon Coast in the summer is generally mild, but can get quite windy so bring your kites and wind breakers.  July, August and September are typically the driest months. In autumn there is a good chance of rain in late autumn early winter. In winter, temperatures range from mid/high 40s to low 50s during day to mid 30s at night.
